About Our Trailers

Alycraft Boat Trailers are built from Strong “I” beam aluminium frames with welded and bolted cross beams, the cross beams are bolted through the “I” beam to give maximum strength and still allow the aluminium to flex without cracking. 

Fully welded Aluminium trailers require gusset plates and patches to be welded over the point of flex and load to stop the weld cracking and this defies the objective of buying an Aluminium trailer as these added gussets plates add weight to the trailer hence most fully welded Aluminium boat trailers weigh very similar to a Steel trailer of the same size.

Our Trailers are customised to suit your boat with the majority of our customers wanting a Drive on/off set up we use a combination of bunks and rollers to build the customer a trailer that is very easy to launch and retrieve their boats even in the most adverse weather situations, our trailers suit both Aluminium and Fiberglass boats.

Alycraft Aluminium Boat Trailers are build using the maximum amount of none corrosive parts then any other manufacturer, we believe if a customer wants to invest in an aluminium boat trailer, they want aluminium not a hybrid of aluminium, with steel draw bars, winch posts, roller brackets etc. ” Our trailers have full custom made Aluminium winch support brackets and winch posts, our roller brackets, bunks and ‘V” support bunks are all made from marine grade Aluminium and all of our fastenings are 316 marine grade stainless steel. We use nylon washers and Duralac Green paste between all dissimilar metals on the trailer to stop corrosion 

Our guards are fully welded from plate Aluminium and not rolled, this gives them superiour strength as we know our customers like to stand on them when loading up their boat. 

Alycraft only use Roller Rocker Suspension as this is by far the most reliable and less maintenance that any Torsion bar suspension. Torsion bar suspension might be great in your caravan, but put your caravan in salt water and mix in some sand and see how long it lasts.
